New Year’s Eve by Jota De Jai is the exact mood of wanting to be festive but also wanting to lie down immediately. A woman is upside down on a deep green couch, still in her heels, holding a red flower like the night had plans… but she decided she was done. The bright yellow dress pops against the soft patterned background, and the whole thing feels like a snapshot of chaos, glamour, and exhaustion all at once.

It’s playful and real in that way only good illustration can be. A little messy, a little stylish, and very “I stayed for one drink and that was enough.”

This is officially licensed artwork by Jota De Jai, a Spanish illustrator living on the Mediterranean coast who describes herself as a “bizarre person” (same). Her work is bold, whimsical, and full of color, turning everyday moments into funny little stories with personality.
